Global Ayurveda Festival is held at Kozhikode from 31st January to 4th February, 2016. Sri Lankan Health Minister Dr Rajitha Senarathne inaugurated the third edition of Global Ayurveda Festival. GAF-III 2016 commences with a mega fortnight long Kerala Ayurveda fair in 14 districts and culminate with 5 days’ of International Seminar, Exhibition, Workshop, Business Meet and a host of other activities.
GAF is organised by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action in association with the state government, Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), besides several other government agencies and NGOs.
Academies across the world, including students, faculties, researchers and R & D professionals in Ayurveda can send their papers for presentations in the international Ayurvedic fest, in which about 5,000 delegates from 50 countries would take part.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the “Vision Conclave” on February 2, to be held as part of the five-day festival. The conclave is a discussion on promoting Ayurveda.
Two day International Business Meet
It will promote the exports of Ayurvedic and herbal products from India to their major destinations. Potential importers and traders, industry associations and consultants in the field. Many promoters and importers of Ayurvedic products are expected to participate in the meet. Organizers expect that through these efforts, Ayurveda will open new markets across the globe and attract more tourists to Kerala.
